Exam
For my exam project, I chose the concept “Two Worlds, One Identity.” This concept is about blending my Lebanese and Dutch background into one complete styling story. I wanted to show how two different cultures can come together in a beautiful and personal way.
In this look, I combined elements that represent both sides of my identity. The Lebanese influence brings warmth, elegance, tradition and rich details, while the Dutch side adds a clean, modern and simple feeling. By mixing these two worlds, I wanted to create a look that feels personal, meaningful and unique.
This concept is very close to me, because it shows that identity is not always one thing. It can be a mix of different cultures, memories and influences. With this exam, I wanted to show who I am as a stylist, but also who I am as a person.
The Backdrops
For the backgrounds, I wanted to visually show the mix between my Lebanese and Dutch identity. The setting had to support the story of two different worlds coming together. By blending different colours, textures and cultural influences, the background became part of the concept and made the styling feel more personal and complete.
