Two way styling
This was my first shoot during my Fashion Styling course. The assignment was about two-way styling, where we had to create both a day look and a night look with the same base.
For this shoot, I learned how small changes in styling can completely change the feeling of an outfit. The day look had to feel more wearable and elegant, while the night look could be more dressed-up and powerful. This assignment was important for me because it was my first real step into styling during the course, and it helped me understand how to build a complete look with clothing, accessories, colour and details.
Backdrop
The backdrop was kept simple and dark, so the focus stayed completely on the outfit and the styling. Because this was my first shoot, I wanted the background to feel clean and professional without taking attention away from the looks. The black backdrop made the colours, shapes and details of the day and night look stand out more clearly.
